a nice option to have a meal. quite cheap and the portions are big enough. there is a staff guy who speaks english well so it's easy to make an order

Yum yum! We ordered pho chua(sour) & pho xao for dinner after finishing Ha Giang loop trip. The food here are just amazing! We would definitely come back!

This place got recommended to us by Mama's Homestay. We walked past many empty restaurants until we walked in here. Loads of locals but still quiet. Everybody was enjoying their meal. We tried the specialty Phở Chua ưhĩh ứa really great. Fresh and a little sour, well balanced and perfect for a nice lunch on a hot and humid day. The fried noodles were just as good and one of the best we have had so far. The kids loved them and totally neglected the plate of french fries. Go here!

Great Sour Pho and sweet fried sticky rice. Good combo when having both together. Pho xao lacks distinct taste though.

Tucked away on a quiet street in Ha Giang, Nhà Hàng Hiền Lương was a delightful surprise. I stumbled upon it after a morning exploring the city, and was instantly drawn in by the friendly atmosphere. It wasn't fancy by any means, but the open kitchen gave a glimpse of the care they put into their food. I opted for a bowl of their signature sour noodle soup. Now, I'll admit, I was a bit apprehensive at first. Sour soup isn't exactly common where I'm from. But the minute it arrived, the aroma was incredible - a complex mix of spices and herbs. The first sip was a revelation. The tangy broth was unlike anything I'd ever tasted, perfectly balanced and bursting with flavor. The chewy noodles and fresh vegetables were the perfect complements. The portion was generous, and by the end, I was completely satisfied. Not just full, but happy and fulfilled. The price was incredibly reasonable too, making it a fantastic value for money. The owner even came by for a chat, and his pride in his food was infectious. Overall, Nhà Hàng Hiền Lương was a hidden gem. It's not going to win any awards for ambience, but for authentic, delicious Ha Giang cuisine and friendly service, you can't go wrong. I left feeling like I'd not only had a great meal, but also experienced a little slice of local life.
